Josh is founder of The Ångström Advanced Battery Centre at Uppsala University (UU), has earlier led UU’s participation in the EU-FP6 Network of Excellence in Battery Research (ALISTORE) involving the 16 leading University Li-ion battery research groups in Europe, and has recently coordinated the EU-FP7 project on Three-Dimensional Micro-Batteries (3D-MBs). Josh is also former Director of Research for the Li-ion battery company Danionics A/S, and for the fuel cell company IRD Fuel Cells A/S – both in Denmark. He is founder/owner of the Uppsala R&D company LiFeSiZE AB which focuses on Li-ion battery materials. Josh is an Editor for Solid State Ionics, a regular reviewer for numerous international journals, and author of 200-300 scientific publications, book chapters and reviews.

Bill Russo is the Founder and President of Synergistics Limited. With over 15 years as an automotive executive, including over 8 years of experience in China and Asia, Mr. Russo has worked with numerous global firms in the formulation and implementation of their globalization strategies. His experience in China includes having successfully negotiated agreements with partners and obtained required approvals from the China government to bring 6 new vehicle programs to the market in a 3-year period, as well as establishing an infrastructure for localization and sales/distribution. Mr. Russo is a highly sought after opinion leader on the development of the automotive industry and the electrification of transportation.
