Examples of Electroengine True Electric technology implementations.
The Saab e-Power

Premiered at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the Saab 9-3 e-Power is the prototype for a test fleet of 70 vehicles scheduled for extensive field trials in Sweden early next year. It is the first all-electric car to offer occupants the comfort, size and handling characteristics of a standard sports sedan. The 135kW electric power train generates instant torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds and with a top speed around 150 km/h. The compact yet powerful 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack is managed by Electroengine’s TEBS® Active Balancing BMS for maximum energy utilization and battery longevity.
The Volvo C70 Convertible

This vehicle raises electric car development to a whole new level. The C70 all electric 4-wheel direct drive vehicle was introduced by Electroengine in November 2010 to demonstrate the full implementation of the True Electric® technology.
The C70 has been designed to provide exhilarating acceleration with a top speed of close to 200km/h and a range up to 400 km on a single charge. This was possible by employing our latest TEBS® Modular Battery and Battery Management technology, in combination with one of the world’s lightest and most energy dense electric motors. The blistering performance is possible thanks to more than 400kW available from direct drive motors connected to all four wheels each delivering a gut-wrenching 700Nm of torque.
