Active Balancing is key
No Li-ion battery pack is better than its Battery Management System (BMS). The Electroengine TEBS® BMS is unique in that it uses Active Balancing to make absolutely sure that all individual cells in the pack are at equal state of charge (SOC) during both charging and discharging states.

Faster charge and deeper discharge
The unique algorithms used in TEBS® allow it to report the SOC at any instance with an accuracy of better than 1% for the battery pack regardless of state of charge. This results in faster charging and allows for deeper discharge without detriment to the battery pack.
Increased battery pack life
By keeping the cells balanced at all times the battery life is extended. And by monitoring all cells TEBS knows which cells have weaker State of Health (SOH) and can adapt the algorithm to the aging of the individual cell.
Better serviceability
The TEBS technology permits replacing faulty cells and use the new cell’s full capacity without limitations. No need to burn away excess energy in new or healthier cells during charging.
Meets tough requirements
TEBS has been developed based on GM Powertrain functional requirements and it has been tested and validated for safety and integration according to GMW3172. Hardware is compatible with SAE-J1772, CHΛdeMO etc. and verified as safety critical system compliant.
